Melinda’s Story

Melinda grew up in foster care starting at age 6 until aging out in her twenties.  She was in approximately 13 foster homes and was a teen mother at 16. Her education was sporadic, and, after having her first child, she was unable to return back to school.  Eventually, Melinda received her GED, but after exiting a domestically-violent relationship, she had nowhere live, no funding, little education and no business experience.

She started cleaning with just $150 and a bucket and began to self-teach herself the fundamentals of forming a business.  She followed her heart in 2012 and, 7 years later, has a successful company - All 4 You Cleaning Services.

LET it SHINE

Melinda believes her mission is to give back to the community and share her story and past with others.  That’s why she created LETITSHINE, a program focused on giving youths who have aged out of the children and family services system the opportunity to boost their confidence and get resume experience through their first job.  

Melinda knows that having confidence, an education and a healthy living situation is not a thought process common to children in foster care.  She wants to give youth the opportunity to get out in the workforce and work closely with her, learning how to run a business and manage an office.

She hopes that by giving them these tools, her team will have the chance to develop the confidence that they too can become employed in the workforce, attaining the skills needed to be successful now and in to the future.

If at some point her team members move on to something else, Melinda hopes that she has been able to provide a solid foundation so that they can continue to be build on in their skills through other endeavors.  If they remain with All 4 You Cleaning Services, her staff will continue to be a part of the company family and grow together.  

Through her life experience and the continued growth of All 4 You Cleaning Services, Melinda believes that people can whatever they want in spite of life’s hardships.

Melinda uses numerous Clorox® products, and she couldn’t run the company without the company’s support and amazing product line.  She has done her due diligence to test every single product used by All 4 You Cleaning Services herself before using them in clients’ homes and businesses.  

Upon learning about the Clorox® Total 360® system, an innovative electrostatic sprayer that delivers disinfectants and sanitizers onto hard-to-reach surfaces, it was an easy decision for Melinda to purchase the machine, knowing she would be backed by Clorox’s outstanding quality and support.
